Where I came from

It started with a question: How did we evolve from sticks and stones to building computers?

The first thing I ever built was a basic HTML website about my brother. Seeing text turn into pixels felt like magic.

I taught myself through YouTube. When I realized other beginners were struggling alone, I started DEV JOURNEY.

A discord community of early developers. We organized hackathons and cold-messaged strangers to be judges. The developer community grew to 300+ active members quickly, helping me grow as a developer educator.

Now I'm studying at Bells University of Technology, building more complex AI systems, and working on Leap as a founder.

The Journey

CURIOSITY

Wondering how physical systems eventually become computers and how systems are interconnected.

FIRST WEBSITE

Built a basic HTML website about my brother. Discovered the magic of writing text and seeing pixels appear on a screen.

SELF-TEACHING

Learning through YouTube and other resources, building a foundation in software development.

DEV JOURNEY

Realized other beginners had similar problems. Started a Discord community to learn together.

HACKATHONS

Organized HTML-only hackathons, recruiting judges from people I had never met online.

COMMUNITY

Grew DEV JOURNEY to 300+ active members in approximately two months.

UNIVERSITY

Continuing formal education while building increasingly complex systems.

I noticed a gap between consumption and action. People spend hours scrolling through inspiring content but rarely do anything about it. As a software engineer and AI builder, I wanted to build a bridge between feeling inspired and actually executing.
